The Parish of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi was created by uniting the four faith communities in the North-West of Halifax. Together, inside our distinctive and historic churches, we worship as a welcoming and vibrant Christian community whose outreach is based in love and friendship.
Support and strengthen each faith community, creating the opportunity to deepen our relationship with God in Jesus Christ and to build up our spiritual communion as disciples, brothers and sisters in Christ. On this foundation we hope to provide a welcoming environment for everyone who seeks the peace and love that comes from those relationships, and to reach out to everyone who needs to hear the message of the Gospel, through evangelization and charity.
OUR DOORS ARE WIDE OPEN
TO WELCOME YOU!
On July 6, 2022, Nova Scotia removed all remaining Covid-19 restrictions in the community. PLEASE, continue to stay home if you are sick.
As the pandemic is not over, we do encourage parishioners to wear a mask while attending Mass.
Wearing a mask is optional, however, masks are strongly recommended in crowded
We have a variety of online and televised resources for our community to participate in the daily and weekly masses from home. We also include links to prayers and other offerings to support your faith during these times.
Our church welcomes you!
Our faith brings us together in celebration, support and love.
We are blessed to have a community that feels like family. A family that has a special place in its heart for the growing number of young families attending masses and participating in the variety of events we host in our Church Hall (which we cannot wait to resume!).
Archbishop Brian Joseph Dunn sends regular communications to our faith community from the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. These letters are added to regularly and offer insights and support from the archdiocese.
